Retro Cannabis is a Prince Edward Island based craft cannabis producer who began it's journey in 2021. From our inception, we have steadfastly committed ourselves to the pursuit of excellence, channeling our energy into the creation of Premium Craft Quality products. At the heart of Retro, lies a vision to redefine the Canadian cannabis industry leveraging Vintage Vibes and Modern Methods. Our product offerings are currently being sold into both provincial retail and private wholesale markets across Canada.
We are in the search of a Production Lab Technician who would join our production team at our head office located in Charlottetown, PE. This position reports to our Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all daily production tasks as required. Including, but not limited to: Extraction, Labelling, Packaging and Cleaning
- Responsible to follow all Health & Safety Policy and Procedures as outlined by the company
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Maintain clean work stations
- Willingness to cross-train (other operational activities)
- Participate in meetings (as required)
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Production Practices (GPP)
Qualifications & Education:
- Must be a Canadian citizen
- Health Canada security clearable or cleared
- GED or equivalent
- Strong understanding or willingness to learn Canada’s cannabis regulation
- Internal training will be provided
Desired Skills:
- Extraction experience is considered an asset
- Cannabis experience is considered an asset
- Lab experience is considered an asset
- Experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS) program

Employment Details:
- Compensation: $18-21 per hour (commensurate with experience). Entire compensation package to be discussed in interview: Competitive hourly rate. Paid vacation, personal and sick days. RRSP match program available after probation period. Health benefits available after probation period
- Probation period: 6 months
- Anticipated hours: approximately 40 hours per week; weekly hours may vary based on operational needs.
- Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Production Lab Technicians may be asked to work alternating shift times (ie: 3:30pm-12:00am) during extraction periods. A minimum notice of two (2) weeks would be given during these periods.
