We are currently seeking an experienced and versatile Handyman / General Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded tradesperson with experience across multiple disciplines and the ability to independently complete a wide range of repair, maintenance, and renovation tasks. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, is solution-oriented, and can confidently work in occupied homes and commercial environments.
Responsibilities
- General handyman repairs and maintenance
- Basic to intermediate plumbing repairs and installations
- Basic to intermediate electrical work (within applicable regulations)
- Drywall repairs, plastering, taping, and finishing
- Flooring installation and repairs (vinyl, laminate, hardwood, tile experience considered an asset)
- Painting and finishing work
- Trim, door, and hardware installation
- Minor framing and carpentry work
- Troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues
- Completing deficiency lists and service calls
- Maintaining a clean and organized worksite
- Communicating professionally with clients and project managers
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in renovation, maintenance, or construction
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, plastering, flooring, and general carpentry
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Professional appearance and customer service skills
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License
- Reliable vehicle and personal tools
- Ability to lift and carry construction materials
- WSIB and safety-conscious mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade certifications are considered an asset
- Experience in residential and commercial renovations
- Experience reading drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of Ontario Building Code requirements
