To achieve this, we have developed The Globe® Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.
We have obtained FDA approval and officially begun the commercial launch of the Globe® Pulsed Field System. This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life-changing technology to patients.
Please note, this opportunity is an onsite work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
This position is based on a 3x4 schedule with 12-hour shifts. Candidates must be able to commit to working one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) consistently and be available for holiday shifts as operational needs require.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the performance to plan for the assigned manufacturing shift.
- Manage and mentor a team of manufacturing supervisors.
- Review daily production targets and ensure resource utilization drives adherence to plan.
- Drive early escalation and recovery planning and execution to address production down time occurrences.
- Direct the daily stand-up meetings and ensure operational issues and follow up actions are clearly defined, prioritised, and assigned.
- Drive a safety-first culture through active involvement in identifying, addressing, and preventing workplace risks.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to Training Centre regarding performance readiness of newly certified production technicians.
- Work with the CI team to drive improvements for production efficiency, utilization, and stability.
- Participate with the NPI team to help define and support engineering change order implementation.
- Support non-conformance reviews and root cause investigations and recommend potential corrective actions.
- Provide feedback to Manufacturing Engineering on capacity constraints and propose solutions to optimize line balancing and capacity.
- Ensure resource requirements are defined and communicated in a timely manner.
What you bring to the team

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
- B.Sc. BASc or BEng or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience in high complexity, high volume manufacturing environments.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry (aerospace, medical devices, nutrition) preferred.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Proven experience guiding or driving implementation of continuous improvement programs.
- Understanding of BC Employment Standards and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
$95,000 – $120,000 (CAD Annually)
