Murray Chevrolet Cadillac Lethbridge is currently seeking an experienced and Certified Journeyman Automotive Service Technician to join our Service Team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform complete and accurate vehicle diagnostics.
- Complete repairs efficiently and verify the effectiveness of all repairs performed.
- Diagnose and repair vehicles with electrical and drivability concerns.
- Ensure every vehicle receives a thorough inspection and that findings are clearly documented and communicated.
- Complete repair orders accurately and in accordance with GM requirements, dealership policies, and warranty procedures.
- Prepare complete and accurate repair estimates, including all required parts, fluids, and labour.
- Track labour operations accurately, including diagnosis time and additional repair functions.
- Perform AMVIC and Out-of-Province inspections on customer and dealership-owned vehicles as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Education and Experience Required:
- Journeyman Automotive Service Technician Certificate is required. Applicants without certification will not be considered.
- Minimum of two years of experience diagnosing and repairing drivability and electrical concerns is required; five or more years of experience is preferred.
- Strong automotive knowledge in drivability, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Previous vehicle inspection experience would be considered an asset.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License required.
- General Motors training and/or experience is considered an asset.
- Basic computer skills are required.

Compensation and Schedule:
- Flat-rate wage range of $36.50 to $46.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Average of 40 hours per week.
- Typical schedule consists of an 8-hour shift (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break), Monday through Friday.
- Shift start times range between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
- Shift end times range between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
- Occasional Saturday work may be required on a rotational basis during peak business periods, including spring and fall tire seasons.
