Duties of the position:
· Handle LCL/FCL/Consolidation for Ocean Import shipments (Far East and Europe) through CargoWise.
· Maintain and update customer records within CargoWise.
· Handle customer inquiries and provide timely, accurate information regarding international freight shipments.
· Coordinate with internal departments (operations, customs, and rates) to ensure the smooth movement of freight.
· Arrange and planning of shipment delivery/pick-up with transportation companies, track and trace shipments to final destinations.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and service providers.
· Provide exceptional client service to build and maintain good business relationships with both client and carriers.
· Handle all incoming communications with clients and other business partners in a timely and professional manner. Resolve any operational issues and customer complaints as they arise and implement measures to prevent their frequency and recurrence.
· Audit carrier’s invoice and reconcile payments/remittances. Responsible for billing of shipments and storage/demurrage for approved accounts.
· Make continuous improvements on internal systems and procedures to leverage the service quality and process efficiency.
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills required:
· One to two years experience in Logistics or related fields, Ocean Import preferred.
· Proficiency in Outlook, MS Excel, Word.
· Experience in using CargoWise is a plus.
· Excellent time management and attention to details.
· Proficiency in communications, both oral and written.
