Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable specialist with minimum of 5 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and excellent customer service skills to ensure timely and accurate processing of receivables. Duties
- Process and record incoming payments using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Manage accounts receivable ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately entered and updated
- Perform account reconciliation to verify balances and resolve discrepancies
- Follow up with clients regarding overdue invoices through professional negotiation and phone etiquette
- Maintain detailed records of transactions, adjustments, and collections for audit purposes
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure proper account management
- Assist with data entry related to customer accounts and payment histories
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally
- Analyze account data to identify trends or issues affecting receivables and suggest improvements
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and financial analysis
- Experience with accounts receivable management, account reconciliation, and account analysis
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies or trends
- Effective negotiation skills for collections and resolving payment issues
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service abilities
- Ability to perform math calculations accurately under pressure
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes is a plus
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $39,513.15-$66,445.41 per year
