Full-Time Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Sales & Account Representative to support and grow our customer relationships within the automotive, manufacturing, logistics and industrial sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a background in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field who wants hands-on exposure to customer account management, operations and business development. The Sales & Account Representative will work closely with customers, Operations, Program Management and internal leadership to ensure existing programs are supported successfully while identifying opportunities for additional business.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer & Account Management Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned customer accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with customer Purchasing, Operations, Quality, Logistics and Accounts Payable teams.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding active programs, upcoming requirements and potential opportunities. Conduct customer visits and participate in program and operational reviews.
- Identify customer concerns, risks and upcoming changes and communicate them internally.
- Program & Commercial Management Understand the scope of work, pricing model and commercial agreement for assigned programs.
- Maintain visibility of active customer programs, job numbers and program status. Track Purchase Orders, remaining PO balances, expiration dates and program timelines.
- Proactively communicate when additional funding, PO amendments or renewals may be required. Identify and document changes in scope and coordinate internally to ensure changes are properly quoted and approved.
- Support billing validation by understanding customer billing requirements and required documentation.
- Sales & Business Development Identify new opportunities within existing customer accounts. Develop relationships with new customer contacts and prospective accounts. Support RFQs, quotations and pricing requests.
- Coordinate internally to gather operational requirements, labour assumptions, equipment needs and other information required for quotations. Follow up on open quotations and customer opportunities.
- Maintain visibility of the sales pipeline and provide regular updates to leadership. Look for opportunities to expand services across additional customer plants, programs and commodities. Operations & Cross-Functional Support
- Work closely with Operations to understand the work being performed at each customer location. Spend time on the production floor to understand program flow, staffing, reporting and customer expectations.
- Participate in program launches and customer meetings as required. Ensure Sales and Operations remain aligned on customer expectations and commercial commitments. Escalate operational or commercial risks before they impact the customer relationship. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate customer and program information.
- Keep customer contacts, quotations, Purchase Orders, commercial agreements and program documentation current. Update internal sales, program and opportunity trackers.
- Document outstanding items and ensure appropriate follow-up. Participate in regular Sales and Operations program reviews.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or related field preferred. New graduates and candidates with 1–3 years of professional experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Comfortable interacting with customers and internal leadership.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple customer programs and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and general computer skills. Ability to understand pricing, Purchase Orders and basic commercial agreements.
- Automotive, manufacturing, logistics or supply-chain experience is an asset but not required. Ability and willingness to travel locally to customer and company locations.
