About the Role
The Operations Associate is a versatile hospitality professional who supports multiple areas of hotel operations, including Guest Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Public Area Maintenance. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high cleanliness standards, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the hotel. The Operations Associate demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities while creating a welcoming environment for guests and colleagues alike.
What You’ll Do
Guest Services

Deliver exceptional guest service by welcoming guests, assisting with inquiries, anticipating needs, and resolving concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Create a warm and welcoming first impression by following established guest service standards, including the 10-5 Rule and personalized check-in and check-out experiences.

Provide telephone and front desk support, ensuring all guest interactions are handled courteously, efficiently, and professionally.

Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and events to make recommendations and enhance the guest experience.

Deliver guest-requested items, assist with luggage and valet services as required, and provide operational support to Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Bell Services teams.

Maintain the confidentiality and accuracy of guest information, reservations, and hotel records.

Perform night audit and other front desk duties as assigned.
Housekeeping & Laundry

Clean and prepare guest rooms to hotel standards, including changing linens, replenishing amenities, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting all required surfaces.

Ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel linens meet cleanliness, presentation, quality, and brand standards.

Process hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items according to established quality and sanitation procedures.

Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry items using commercial laundry equipment.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of housekeeping and laundry equipment, supplies, and work areas.

Report lost and found items, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, property damage, and equipment issues in accordance with hotel procedures.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate housekeeping and laundry supply needs to leadership.

Respond promptly to housekeeping requests, assist with deep-cleaning projects, and support departmental priorities as required.

Ensure proper handling of stained or damaged linens in accordance with hotel procedures.
Public Area Maintenance

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, including lobbies, washrooms, meeting rooms, staff areas, restaurants, offices, and exterior grounds.

Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, waste removal, window cleaning, and carpet care.

Ensure public washrooms remain clean, sanitized, and fully stocked throughout the day.

Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and repair needs promptly.

Support overall property appearance and cleanliness by completing assigned task lists and special projects.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For

Previous customer service experience, preferably in hospitality, hotel operations, or a related service environment.

Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve guest concerns professionally.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable using computers, hotel systems, and technology.

Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Hospitality, Tourism, or Hotel Management education is considered an asset.

First Aid and/or CPR certification is considered an asset.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to work in Kamloops, BC.
Working Conditions

Fast-paced hospitality environment with frequent interaction with guests, team members, and visitors.

Flexible schedule required, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Frequent standing, walking, and movement between operational departments.

Combination of physically active and stationary work depending on operational requirements.
Physical Requirements

Ability to push pull, reach, bend, stoop, kneel & lift up to 50lbs

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including housekeeping, laundry, guest assistance, and general hotel operations.
