Senior DDI Network Engineer (DNS / DHCP / IPAM):
On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a Senior DDI Network Engineer (DNS / DHCP / IPAM) for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Senior DDI Network Engineer (DNS / DHCP / IPAM) - Job Description:
The DDI Engineering team under the Network Engineering & Design division is responsible for the oversight, management, design, and engineering of the bank’s core network services (DDI-DNS, DHCP, IPAM) globally. This role involves working on maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure in line with the bank's strategic goals.
Senior DDI Network Engineer (DNS / DHCP / IPAM) - Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage DDI platforms, specifically BT/Cygna Labs Diamond IP
- Design and implement DNS and DHCP architectures, ensuring redundancy and failover capabilities
- Perform IP management, including capacity planning and subnet aggregation
- Manage Public and Extranet DNS, including domain registrars and ownership transfers
- Provide DNS solutions for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
- Implement DNS security measures and manage public IP and ASN
Senior DDI Network Engineer (DNS / DHCP / IPAM) - Mandatory Skills:
- 8+ years of network engineering experience, with 5 years on DDI platforms
- Expertise in DNS and DHCP architectures, including ISC BIND & Microsoft DNS
- Advanced scripting skills in Python and/or bash
- Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration
- Analytical ability to convey solutions to cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of network automation using SOAP and/or RESTful APIs
Senior DDI Network Engineer (DNS / DHCP / IPAM) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Banking/Finance experience
- DDI Certifications and CCNA/CCNP
- Audit & Compliance experience
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms like Elastic ELK, Splunk
- Familiarity with ITIL, ITSM, and SDLC
