Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming as needed
- Apply paint, stain, or coatings to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate application of paint and finishes
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during various tasks including rigging and carpentry work
- Assist with demolition, site cleanup, and material handling to support project progress
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality expectations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to address project needs or concerns
Experience
- Prior experience in construction painting, residential or commercial painting preferred
- Knowledge of restoration processes and industrial painting techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical instructions
- Ability to operate hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, and caulking guns as well as power tools like drills and sanders
- Experience with carpentry or rigging is advantageous but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining safety protocols
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
