Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cell Phone Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mobile devices, including Android and iOS smartphones. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities. The technician will work with both hardware and software components, utilizing schematics and hand tools to ensure devices are restored to optimal functionality. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues on various mobile devices, including Android and iOS smartphones
- Perform software troubleshooting and operating system repairs for mobile devices
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify hardware problems
- Disassemble and reassemble devices using appropriate hand tools with precision
- Replace or repair components such as screens, batteries, charging ports, and internal hardware
- Test repaired devices to ensure proper functionality across operating systems like macOS, Windows, and mobile OS platforms
- Assist retail customers with device troubleshooting, upgrades, and sales support when needed
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
- Stay updated on the latest mobile device technologies and repair techniques
Qualifications
- Proven experience repairing or troubleshooting mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets
- Strong knowledge of Android and iOS operating systems as well as macOS and Windows environments
- Familiarity with schematics, circuit diagrams, and electronic troubleshooting methods
- Proficiency with hand tools used in electronic repairs (soldering irons, screwdrivers, spudgers)
- Ability to analyze technical issues quickly and accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for explaining technical issues to customers
- Retail sales experience is a plus but not required; a customer-focused attitude is essential
- Knowledge of computer hardware components related to mobile devices is preferred
