Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipper/Receiver to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient movement of goods through accurate shipping, receiving, and materials management from suppliers and deliveries to our customers. The ideal candidate will have some experience with warehouse distribution, and inventory systems, contributing to seamless order fulfillment and transportation operations.
Duties
- Schedule pick-ups and deliveries for drivers.
- Manage shipping and receiving operations, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Prepare shipments by packaging products according to specifications and standards
- Put away and count inventory stock periodically.
- Keep records of vehicle: Mileage, credit card used for gas receipts, etc.
- Assist in daily inspection and maintenance of vehicles that drivers are using.
- Utilize forklift equipment safely for materials handling and order picking
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper documentation for all shipments
- Clean-up shipping area as required.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Possess a clean driver abstract (background check may be required)
- Must be able to move boxes up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to operate forklift or willingness to learn
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment and packaging procedures
- Ability to work independently and/or with the team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in shipping & receiving tasks
- A positive attitude is a must!
Pay: $18.25-$19.00 per hour
