Front Desk Receptionist - Hospitality Focused
We are seeking a professional, polished, and guest-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring smooth daily front desk operations.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Previous hotel or guest service experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously
- Manage check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest communications efficiently
- Answer and direct phone calls with professional phone etiquette
- Maintain accurate guest records, reservations, and administrative files
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction and room readiness
- Handle guest payments, billing inquiries, and basic bookkeeping duties
- Assist with administrative support, and front office organization
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area
- Respond to guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving skills
- Support daily hotel operations and assist team members as needed to ensure seamless guest experiences
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotel front desk, guest services, or customer service preferred
- Strong hospitality mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor*
- Experience with hotel reservation systems, POS systems, QuickBooks, or booking software is an asset
- Strong computer and data entry skills with high attention to accuracy
- Exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills*
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment*
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required*
