Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role is vital in delivering a memorable dining experience and supporting the overall operations of our establishment. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, including Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and process payments accurately through cashiering systems
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, utensils, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is highly desirable, especially in serving roles within restaurants or the food industry
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor to enhance guest interactions
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
