Where You’ll Add Value
Regional Painters play a valued role in the successful operations of our apartment complexes and in the overall success of Morguard. The incumbent will take pride in ensuring superior craftsmanship in the execution of job functions, as well as providing service and support to our Residents, thereby ensuring that Morguard is the preferred landlord of choice.
How You’ll Make a Difference
Ensure that a superior level of co-operation, service and support is provided to residents
Responsible for servicing multiple building, both interior and exterior work. Areas to be painted include but are not limited to hallways, stairwells, common areas, some in-suite painting, parking stripes, and fence painting
Proactively inspect grounds and facilities to determine if repairs or preventative maintenance is required
Responsible for the calculation of the proper quantities of supplies for work orders and for maintaining standard inventory
Responsible for identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paint, stains and other hazardous materials
Perform all facets of the job in accordance with the legislation applicable to the jurisdiction, including: Health and Safety standards, WHMIS, AODA, PIPEDA and Human Rights
Comply with health & safety procedures ensuring the use of required safety equipment and identifying unsafe practices and conditions while maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Ensure all areas are free of hazards and where not able to resolve, ensure management are informed for immediate resolution
Maintain regular and timely documentation of activities
Perform other duties that may be necessary to maintain the property in a clean, safe and healthy condition
The Expertise You’ll Bring
Completion of High School or general education degree (GED)
2-3 + years of previous painting experience
Must have a valid driver's license
Experience using a paint sprayer
Experience in plaster/drywall repair
Proficient in the use of sprayer equipment, compressors, sandblasters and small power equipment
Knowledge of erecting scaffolding, ladders and planks to reach surfaces of work areas for painting
Knowledge of tools, equipment and application techniques common to the painting trade
Knowledge of hazardous materials handling

Annualized Base Salary Range: $48,000 - $58,000
Pay Equity
The salary range listed for this position reflects the anticipated compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation offered may vary and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, skills, certifications, internal pay equity and business needs.
