We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and presentation standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workstation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and works well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Properly label, date, and rotate food products (FIFO)
- Assist with prep tasks as needed
- Communicate effectively with kitchen team and front-of-house staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Working Conditions
- Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required
