Basic Candidate Requirements
- Current FoodSafe certification.
- Line Cook experience (min. 2 years).
- Experience with Breakfast line cooking (benedicts, poached eggs, eggs to order, etc).
- Baking knowledge- muffins, cookies, scones.
- Rationale Combi Oven use/programming experience.
- Experience with ordering, food costing and daily inventory management.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, and with a team.
- Keeping a friendly and respectful demeanor while working under pressure during rush- mistakes can happen, how it's handled is important.
Basic Job Duties
- Manage weekly ordering, food cost and inventory for prep/service.
- Prepare & Run Line for breakfast and lunch service (9am-3pm, Tues.-Sun.)
- Prepare batch foods for packaged freezer retail items (Mac & Cheese, Lasagna, Soups, etc).
- Keep fifo'd and clearly labelled items in fridge and freezer spaces.
- Communicate clear, detailed instructions for other staff prep shifts and days off.
- Maintain a clean and organized open-concept kitchen.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests at all times.
- Maintain a respectful and positive attitude to colleagues and patrons at all times.
