Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Attention to detail, quality and consistency are required. Willingness to help at all stations and learning to create batch recopies is essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in accordance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times during food preparation and service
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety practices
- Familiarity with serving, meal preparation, and food handling standards within the food industry
- Experience working in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail is highly valued
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment
Pay: $18.50-$21.50 per hour
