Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and safety protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and hygienic living environment
- Support clients with mobility exercises and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
- Document care provided, observe changes in health status, and communicate updates to healthcare teams
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable
- Strong background in senior care and working with individuals with disabilities or dementia
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and active listening abilities
- Ability to perform light cleaning, meal preparation, and home care tasks efficiently
- Good physical stamina for assisting clients with mobility and daily activities
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals, clients, and families
