A well-established Toronto boutique specializing in employment and labour law is seeking an experienced Law Clerk/ Legal Assistant to join their team in a permanent, full-time capacity.
This is a high-volume practice with a sophisticated caseload. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of five years of relevant experience, a strong command of litigation procedures, and the professionalism and initiative to manage complex files with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare, format, and finalize pleadings, motion materials, correspondence, and litigation documents
- Manage litigation timelines — deadlines, filings, discoveries, mediations, and trials
- Serve and file court documents with courts and administrative tribunals
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
- Coordinate expert witnesses, discoveries, and court-mandated proceedings
- Support docketing, billing, and expense reporting
- Assist with evidence gathering and follow-up on outstanding materials
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of legal assistant or law clerk experience — employment & labour law is strongly preferred; litigation is a must
- You are a confident, clear communicator
- Strong working knowledge of Ontario's Rules of Civil Procedure
- Experience with CaseLines, One-Key, and electronic court filing systems
- Proficient in MS Office and Outlook; practice management and dictation software experience is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities without close supervision
- Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma from a recognized program
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
