Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services essential for our operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with supply chain processes, and experience in dealership or manufacturing environments. The Purchaser will play a key role in ensuring timely procurement to support production schedules and operational efficiency. Salary will be based on experience.
Duties
- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability for parts purchasing
- Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to optimize procurement outcomes
- Collaborate with inventory management and demand planning teams to forecast needs
- Monitor supply chain activities to prevent shortages or delays
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for timely delivery of parts and materials
- Monitoring inventory levels
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers or alternative sourcing options
- Maintain supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance regularly
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including mechanical knowledge for handling specific equipment when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing, or supply chain procurement preferred
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate with vendors and internal teams
- Familiarity with procurement software and manufacturing processes is advantageous
- Previous exposure to supply chain management, sourcing, or purchasing roles will be highly valued
- Class G driver's licence
- OSSD diploma or higher is an asset
Pay: $62,000.00-$67,000.00 per year
