Experienced Behaviour Interventionist (Part-Time) – North Delta
We're looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and energetic Behaviour Interventionist to join our home-based team supporting an engaging and curious 6-year-old boy.
This is a fun, play-based program focused on helping him develop communication, social interaction, independence, and academics. Sessions emphasize language development using TouchChat while incorporating physical play, games, and activities that keep him motivated and engaged.
He loves jumping, tickles, playful interaction, and YouTube, and we're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with children through energy, creativity, and play.
Responsibilities
- Support communication using TouchChat.
- Follow individualized behaviour and learning goals.
- Encourage social interaction and independence.
- Engage in active, play-based learning.
- Work collaboratively with the family and therapy team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of Behaviour Interventionist experience is required.
- Experience with TouchChat and AAC is an asset.
- Familiarity with the MY WAY program is an asset.
- Reliable, energetic, and passionate about working with children.
- Strong play skills and the ability to build rapport through fun, engaging activities.
Location
Home-based in North Delta (Strawberry Hill area).
Schedule
- Monday: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Please apply only if you are available to work all three scheduled shifts. We are looking for one Behaviour Interventionist to provide consistency for our child, so we are not hiring for individual shifts or partial availability.
Compensation: $21/hr-$25/hr
Compensation is based on experience and AFU funding.
We are looking for someone who can commit to the position for at least one year. A Criminal Record Check is required before starting.
