JOB MISSION:
This role is a 13 month fixed contract. With the goal of becoming the World’s Best Running Brand, this position will provide Sales and Marketing leadership and digital support for the Canadian Sales team. A significant focus will be on connecting consumers (Runners), to key retail partners (website, social or store), and ultimately creating sell through for New Balance products.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assist the Sales and Marketing Managers by building an annual strategic Run Specialty plan, through the adaptation of Global marketing strategies, for a target list of accounts in the local market
Create sales plans to help launch new products into the market place each season
Oversee the development, execution and communication of consumer first, digitally lead Marketing programs for the Run Specialty channel
Develop and direct third parties to assist in support, for merchandising or digitally led consumer interaction. This could include but not be limited to the following:
Retailer Digital/Paid social campaigns
Digital excellence across retailer’s websites and social media platforms, help customize at local level (re-format to match individual needs)
Visual in-store merchandising/signage campaigns
Staff or Ambassador product seeding
Plan and Assist Virtual Events (races) and souvenir
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3+ years running industry experience
Strong digital and social media platform focus
Retail experience, preferably run specialty
Must be able to work in a team environment and have the ability to express a perspective with conviction
Experience must include prior project leadership role demonstrating initiative and organizational skills in managing multiple assignments with varying degrees of complexity
Ability to think strategically while comfortable with project management details. Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple departments
Excellent verbal/written communications skills
Computer skills required including Microsoft Office, Desktop publishing/Design
English required, French a bonus
Moderate travel as required
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift heavy object (sample bags, pop up tent etc.)
Available to work evenings and weekends
