Cottonwoods Childcare Centre is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable educator to join our childcare family in our Before & After School Care Program.
We are a small, close-knit centre where relationships matter, teamwork is valued, and staff support one another like family. We are looking for someone who enjoys building meaningful connections with school-age children and creating a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.
About the Position
- School-age children (ages 5–10)
- Monday–Friday
- During the school year, hours may be scheduled as either a split shift (before and after school care) or a continuous afternoon shift, depending on the needs of the program and the successful candidate's preferences and availability.
- Full-time hours available during school breaks, Pro-D Days, Spring Break, Summer Break, and other school closures
- Supportive and welcoming team environment
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Loves working with school-age children
- Is dependable, positive, and caring
- Enjoys planning activities, games, and adventures
- Works well as part of a team
- Is flexible and willing to support the needs of the centre, including occasional split shifts when required
- Has strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with children, families, and coworkers
Qualifications
- Responsible Adult or ECEA
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Criminal Record Check
- Class 5 Drivers License
