Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Class Leader / Group Instructor to join our fitness studio as a group class contractor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading group classes, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring participants receive an enriching and enjoyable experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to manage diverse groups effectively. The position offers an opportunity to inspire learners, develop teaching skills, and contribute to a vibrant community atmosphere.
Our facility supports class leaders by helping advertise classes, collecting payments, providing you with a professional quality sound system, 800SqFt of open floor fitness space and all the vibes our chic forest/industrial space has to offer right in the City of Leduc for you to run your classes.
We are open to fitness classes, fitness related classes, dance classes, and if you have the vision to make it happen we are interested in hearing what else you'd like to do in the space.
You will be a contractor. That means you are responsible for your own certificate of insurance, training credentials (if applicable) and licensing to teach any proprietary classes you wish to run (eg. Zumba).
Rental rates are a flat fee from us and you get paid for what your class brings in, therefore you have the ability to earn an extremely high hourly income for the work you do as a group class instructor.
If you, as an independent contractor, align your class pricing with our existing class leaders you can have people who purchase our punch pass join your classes, for even more revenue and bring even more new people to your classes who are looking to try something new. (highly recommended)
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and interactive group classes tailored to your skills, education and licenses.
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages participation and confidence among attendees
- Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Manage class schedules efficiently, ensuring punctuality and smooth transitions between sessions
- Address participant questions and concerns with professionalism and clarity
- Collaborate with team members to improve program offerings and enhance overall participant satisfaction
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized class environment at all times
Skills
- Prior experience in teaching or instructing groups is preferred
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different learners
- Professional demeanor with a passion for education, fun, and community engagement

Pay: $24.00-$360.00 per hour
