We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including deep tissue, and other modalities
- Assess client conditions and discuss treatment goals to develop personalized therapy plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable treatment area in accordance with health and safety standards
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or self-care practices
- Keep detailed records of client treatments and progress in compliance with privacy regulations
- Ensure excellent customer service by creating a relaxing atmosphere and addressing client inquiries or concerns professionally
- Stay current with industry trends and continuing education to enhance skills and service quality
Requirements
- Valid massage therapy license or certification as required by state regulations
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to health conditions treated through massage therapy
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients
- Excellent communication skills to explain treatment procedures and address client needs clearly
- Prior experience in a wellness or healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude at all times
