Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly and thoroughly to maintain cleanliness standards
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
- Support food safety protocols by ensuring proper sanitation of work areas and equipment
- Organize and store clean dishes and kitchen supplies efficiently
- Help with general kitchen cleanup, including sweeping and mopping floors
- Assist in setting up serving areas and restocking supplies during service hours
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in cooking, food preparation, or restaurant service is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others as needed
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food industry practices is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items (up to 50 pounds)
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary
