Protrans Personnel Services is currently hiring a full-time Counterbalance Forklift Operator / Dock Worker for a fast-paced warehouse and transportation environment in Ottawa, ON.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced forklift operator who has worked in a dock, transportation, courier, LTL, shipping/receiving, or warehouse distribution environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating a counterbalance forklift while also performing general dock and warehouse duties.

- Monday to Friday schedule
- Afternoon shift: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Competitive pay: $25.42 per hour
- Weekly pay every Friday
- PPE provided
- Opportunity to work in a fast-paced transportation and warehouse environment
- Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
- Load and unload trailers, trucks, products, and materials
- Move, locate, relocate, stack, stage, and count products
- Pull and prepare orders for shipment
- Ensure the correct number and type of products are loaded
- Perform dock work, shipping/receiving, and general labour tasks
- Assist with product staging and warehouse organization
- Work in a fast-paced warehouse, dock, or production environment
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Must have a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Minimum 2 year of forklift operating experience required
- Previous dock worker, LTL, courier, transportation, shipping/receiving, or warehouse experience is preferred
- Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and perform physical work for long periods
- Comfortable working around moving equipment, machinery, noise, and dust
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Must be able to provide or pass a clear background check
- Must be comfortable working Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- LTL freight experience
- Courier or transportation dock experience
- Cross-dock experience
- Loading and unloading trailers
- Shipping and receiving
- RF scanner experience
- General labour or warehouse associate experience
This position is in a warehouse and dock environment with artificial lighting, moving equipment, machinery, noise, and dust. PPE will be provided.
