Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and organizing materials
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools around the site
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across the work area
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment
- Perform general labor tasks as directed by supervisors to keep projects on schedule
- Read Blueprints: Study architectural plans to get exact measurements and layout designs.
- Measure and Cut: Use saws and tape measures to cut wood, metal studs, or engineered lumber.
- Build Floors: Install subfloors and floor joists directly onto a completed foundation.
- Raise Walls: Construct wall frames flat on the ground and lift them into place.
- Set Roofs: Put up roof trusses and rafters to support the upper structure
Skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods outdoors in all types of weather
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project needs
- Use heavy tools like nail guns, circular saws, levels, and hammers.
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor
- Valid driver’s license is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment
Certifications
- First Aid (Not required but a plus)
- CSTS
- Fall Protection
Pay: $18.00-$35.00 per hour
