Join our dynamic team as a Driver/Swamper as a Septic Vacuum Truck operator and become a vital part of our environmental services crew! In this role, you'll be responsible for safely operating and maintaining vacuum trucks used for industrial cleaning, waste removal, and environmental cleanup projects. Duties
- Safely operate vacuum trucks to perform industrial cleaning, waste removal, and spill response tasks
- Assist with truck setup, hookup, and disconnect procedures before and after job sites
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to loading or unloading equipment or materials as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including logs, reports, and safety checklists
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during operations
- Support team members with manual tasks such as hose handling, debris removal, and site cleanup
Experience
- Prior experience operating heavy vehicles or vacuum trucks is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and extended periods of driving or outdoor work
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential
- Class 5 with air endorsement
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to vehicle operation and environmental compliance
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and site personnel
