Colonial Countertops is a leading provider of high-quality custom stone countertops in British Columbia. With a reputation built on craftsmanship and reliability, we are expanding our Kamloops location and seeking a skilled stone production worker to support our growing operations.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for helping with stone countertops manufacturing. This includes cutting and shaping stone slabs; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and material handling.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret company production drawings
- Move slabs from staging area to CNC Saw table (Digitale 5) with overhead crane
- Inspect material and mark out any defects or damages
- Photograph slab and lay out rough cut pieces on Omag cut
- Plot tool paths and program saw to run
- Remove pieces with overhead crane and send to CNC Router staging area
- Issue material to be consumed per job in production software (Epicore)
- Maintain an organize work environment in the staging and production areas
- Work in a safe manner that complies with all safety guidelines
- Contribute to team effort and completes other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in the warehouse environment
- Experience operating forklift
- Experience in the stone industry an asset
- Outstanding attendance and punctuality
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn from more experienced staff members
- Willingness to be trained in other departments
- Ability to lift 100 lbs. +
