The Community Mental Wellness Association of Canada is a registered non-profit organization that has dedicated the last 30 years to promoting mental health awareness by launching initiatives to reduce stigma and provide access to various community services and resources.
We are excited to announce that we are seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about community service and mental wellness to join our team as a bookkeeper.
WHO CAN APPLY FOR THIS JOB?
The Government of Canada funded this job through the Canada Summer Jobs program. .
To apply for this job, you must:
- Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job;
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and
- Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.
BOOKKEEPER POSITION
Involves basic bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping responsibilities, including:
- Maintaining financial records and helping organize accounts using manual or computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Assisting with reconciling accounts and maintaining general ledgers.
- Supporting the preparation of financial and accounting reports.
- Assisting with invoices, receipts, deposits, reimbursements, and payment records.
- Helping prepare payroll, utility, tax, or other payment documents when required.
- Organizing financial documents for review by supervisors, accountants, or board members.
- Maintaining confidentiality when handling financial and organizational information.
