Our Client is looking for a Manager Tax Canada, who will lead a high-performing team responsible for managing corporate, international, and regional tax matters across a complex and evolving business landscape. This is a 15-month term role.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior tax professional with 10+ years of Canadian corporate tax experience to lead a team responsible for tax compliance, provisions, planning, audits, disputes, and strategic tax initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and tax authorities while providing guidance on complex Canadian and international tax matters. Experience in a large corporate environment, previous people leadership, and exposure to multinational or capital-intensive industries would be highly valued. The role is based in Toronto or Saskatoon with a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team focused on corporate, international, and regional tax management.

Interpret and apply tax laws to determine appropriate treatment for transactions and advise on complex tax matters.

Set audit strategies, manage tax controversies, and support dispute resolution processes.

Develop and execute tax compliance processes, including planning, analysis, and reporting.

Provide insight into tax policy and legislative changes, .

Identify and assess risks, embedding a strong risk management culture

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver aligned and effective tax outcomes.

Translate complex tax and business insights into clear recommendations for decision-making.
Qualifications

CPA + In-Depth Tax or Masters of Tax.

10+ years of corporate tax experience.

Strong provision experience under IFRS.

Direct experience with large-company Canadian tax compliance.

Prior audit controversy management.

Experience managing 1-3 staff.

Background from Big 4 tax plus industry, or a large multinational in-house tax team.
