Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Finance Coordinator to join our finance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in financial operations, bookkeeping, and accounting software. The ideal candidate will support various financial processes, including data entry, account reconciliation, and payroll administration, contributing to the smooth functioning of our financial services. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday, or PeopleSoft is preferred but not required. A strong aptitude for math and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
- Support payroll functions using systems like ADP, Evolia and Employeur D
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records within various accounting software platforms
- Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy of financial statements and reports
- Help prepare budgets and conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement
- Collaborate with the finance team on bookkeeping tasks and financial reporting activities
- Maintain organized documentation of all financial transactions and supporting files
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures as needed
Requirements
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms is highly desirable
- Proficiency in data entry and attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Strong math skills and analytical ability to interpret financial data effectively
- Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP or Employeur D is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to Speak, write and read English (required)
- Ability to speak, write and read French (asset)
- Prior internship or relevant experience in finance or bookkeeping is advantageous but not mandatory
Pay: $42,000.00-$47,000.00 per year
