Job Description – Licensed PlumberPosition Summary
The Licensed Plumber is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will complete service work and renovation projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable plumbing codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair plumbing emergencies, including leaks, drain blockages, fixture failures, water distribution issues, and drainage system problems.
- Perform plumbing installations, repairs, replacements, and maintenance on residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Complete renovation projects, including rough-ins, fixture installations, and finishing work.
- Troubleshoot plumbing systems to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing drawings.
- Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Plumbing Code and applicable safety regulations.
- Work independently to manage service calls from diagnosis through completion.
- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and communicate recommendations clearly to customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
- Complete work orders, inspection reports, and service documentation accurately.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
- Mentor and support apprentices by providing guidance, technical instruction, and leadership in the field.
- Meet project schedules and service deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Qualifications
- Licensed Plumber (306A) in Ontario.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Thorough understanding of the Ontario Plumbing Code.
- Experience in service plumbing and renovations is preferred.
- Customer service experience is considered an asset.

Working Conditions
- Work is performed in residential and commercial environments, both indoors and outdoors.
- Occasional work in confined spaces, crawl spaces, and mechanical rooms.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, kneeling, bending, and climbing.
- Participation in an on-call rotation may be required.
- Overtime may be required during peak periods or emergency service calls.
Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour
