Overview
We are seeking a skilled and personable Nail Technician to join our beauty team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nail care services, create a relaxing environment for clients, and promote retail products. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your expertise in nail artistry and customer service while contributing to a welcoming salon atmosphere. A strong focus on sanitation, communication, and upselling will ensure both client satisfaction and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with attention to detail and hygiene standards
- Provide body waxing services as needed, maintaining high sanitation protocols
- Educate clients on nail care and recommend appropriate treatments or retail products to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, workstations, and treatment areas in compliance with health regulations
- Upsell retail products such as nail polishes, treatments, and skincare items to increase client satisfaction and sales
- Deliver excellent customer service by creating a friendly, professional environment that encourages repeat visits
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximize client flow and minimize wait times
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and product knowledge through ongoing education
Requirements
- Valid state licensing as a Nail Technician or Cosmetologist with nail specialty certification
- Experience in nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel applications, acrylics, and nail art preferred
- Knowledge of body waxing techniques is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Commitment to sanitation standards and safety protocols at all times
- Ability to upsell retail products tactfully to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Basic retail sales experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for product promotion skills
