Canadian Flatbeds Ltd. is seeking an experienced Flatbed Driver Training & Compliance Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing driver onboarding, training, safety performance, and regulatory compliance while helping maintain the highest standards of safety and operational excellence throughout the organization.
This position is ideal for an individual with a valid AZ licence, commercial driving experience, and a strong understanding of both Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain compliance with applicable Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations.
- Conduct driver orientations, onboarding, and ongoing training programs.
- Develop and deliver safety meetings, toolbox talks, and compliance training.
- Review and monitor Hours of Service logs, ELD records, driver qualification files, and safety documentation.
- Ensure compliance with provincial, federal, and cross-border transportation requirements.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and safety-related events and assist with corrective action plans.
- Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews.
- Monitor driver performance, safety scores, CVOR performance, and regulatory compliance metrics.
- Assist with fleet safety initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain training records and ensure all certifications, licences, and qualifications remain current.
- Liaise with drivers, operations staff, customers, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies as required.
- Support facility and fleet safety inspections.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization..
Qualifications
- Valid AZ Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience. Flatbed experience is an asset.
- Experience training, coaching, or mentoring commercial drivers.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian transportation regulations, CVOR requirements, and Hours of Service rules.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with ELD systems and Microsoft Office.
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
