Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Hairdesign Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair design, excellent teaching abilities, and classroom experience. This role involves instructing students on various hair styling techniques, providing hands-on demonstrations, and fostering a positive learning environment to help aspiring stylists develop their skills and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive hair design lessons to students of varying skill levels
- Prepare lesson plans, demonstrations, and practical exercises aligned with curriculum standards an asset
- Assess student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional classroom environment
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into teaching methods
- Support students in developing technical skills, creativity, and professionalism in hair styling
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
Skills
- Proven classroom experience in beauty or cosmetology education an asset
- Strong knowledge of hair design techniques, including cutting, coloring, styling, and chemical treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students
- Ability to demonstrate technical skills clearly and confidently
- Passion for teaching and mentoring aspiring hair stylists
- Organizational skills to manage lesson plans and student assessments effectively
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
