Maples Yardworks is hiring a reliable and hardworking individual for a year-round position. This role offers full-time work from May to October (lawn care and tree season) and part-time/on-call hours from November to April (snow removal).
MUST HAVE VEHICLE AND DRIVERS LICENSE.
We are looking for someone who is punctual, dependable, and ideally has experience in landscaping, lawn maintenance, or snow removal.
Responsibilities
May – October (Full-Time):
- Lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and yard cleanup
- Tree and shrub trimming/pruning
- Leaf cleanup and seasonal yard prep
- Assisting with other yard maintenance tasks as needed
November – April (Part-Time/On-Call):
- Snow shoveling on residential and commercial properties
- Operating snow blowers and assisting with plow operations (if trained)
- Being available during/after snowfalls (early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Requirements
Important: Crew members must be available whenever it snows. This is not a casual “when-you-can” role — reliability is essential. Failure to report for scheduled snow removal after a snowfall will result in termination.
- Must be punctual and reliable — showing up consistently and on time is essential
- Experience in landscaping, lawn maintenance, or snow removal preferred (but training available)
- Must be able to comfortably drive pick-up trucks and utility trailers
- Physically able to perform outdoor labor in all weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites in the Maples / Winnipeg area
- Willingness to work flexible hours in winter (on-call during snowfalls)
Compensation
- $18-$25 per hour, depending on experience
- Full-time hours May–October (approx. 35–40 hrs/week)
- Part-time / on-call hours November–April (approx. 20–25 hrs/week, weather-dependent)
