We are seeking a Kitchen Draftsperson to join our Engineering team in Hawkesville, Ontario (just outside of Waterloo). Our kitchen draftspersons are integral members of the Chervin family and facilitate a key step in the journey of bringing our clients’ dreams to life. Chervin’s draftspersons bring attention to detail and quality craftsmanship in to every Chervin product.
This is a full-time position with 44 hours a week. Wage commensurate with experience. Benefits are provided after the 3-month probationary period.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Utilize your Cabinet Vision design software skills to create detailed and effective shop drawings
- Work alongside several other skilled draftspeople, both independently and collaboratively, to develop practical plans for the creation of custom cabinetry, based on the designs of our sales, drafting and design teams.
- Produce 3D renders in Vortex to give the client a realistic vision of how their finished product would look.
- Produce final drawings, assembly sheets, cut lists, materials lists, door/drawer order lists, and Bills of Materials for the various departments involved in manufacturing the cabinetry, in order to ensure a smooth and efficient process that can be executed by our skilled craftsmen without confusion.
- Stay in regular and open communication with individuals in various manufacturing departments, as well as with the Sales & Design team, to ensure that our clients' needs and desires are prioritized and brought to fruition with excellence.
- Provide constructive feedback to colleagues on their plans, and accept feedback and peer reviews with grace and enthusiasm.
- Stay alert and responsive to the requests and needs of the Department Supervisor.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 2 years general woodworking experience.
- A diploma from a Woodworking Technology program (or equivalent hands on experience).
- Competency with computers and various forms of software.
- Knowledge of Cabinet Vision software preferred
- A keen attention to detail.
