Service Counter Representative
Lumber Yard & Building Supply
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer Service Counter Representative to join our team at a busy local lumber yard and building supply company.
Responsibilities:
-Greet customers in person and over the phone
-Assist contractors, homeowners, and walk-in customers with product selection and orders
-Prepare quotes, invoices, and sales orders
-Process payments and coordinate deliveries or pickups
-Provide accurate information on lumber, hardware, and building materials
-Maintain organized displays and assiat with inventory as needed
-Work closely with yard staff and shipping to ensure excellent customer service
Qualifications:
-Strong customer service and communication skills
-Basic computer and math skills
-Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
-Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
-Ability to lift up to 50lbs
-Experience in lumber, construction, hardware, or building supplies is an asset, but willing to train the right candidate
Preferred Assets
-Knowledge of building materials and construction terminology
-Retail or sales experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
