Job Overview
Wetmore Cleaning Services Inc. is looking for a dedicated and professional Day Custodian / Labourer to manage the daily upkeep and maintenance of a premium facility in downtown Fredericton. This is a high-visibility role that requires a mix of indoor custodial work and light outdoor grounds maintenance.
This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and understand the importance of maintaining a pristine, professional environment for high-level operations. We provide all equipment, specialized training, and a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the professional appearance of main entrances and common areas.
- Monitor and restock washrooms to ensure supplies are always available.
- Conduct light maintenance such as changing light bulbs and unclogging toilets.
- Light groundskeeping: Mowing and trimming grass, raking leaves, and litter collection.
- Seasonal maintenance: Shoveling and salting entrances during winter months.
- Escort outside contractors to various job sites within the building as needed.
- Monitor mechanical and boiler rooms for operational safety.
- Maintain and clean lawn equipment.
- Deep clean specialized areas (elevator tracks, fire escapes, mechanical rooms).
- Conduct "deficiency walks" to identify and report any repair needs.
Available Shift.
- Day Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM/7:00AM -3:00PM.
