VT Controls Ltd is hiring a Project Coordinator to support our Projects team and to ensure overall efficiency. The ideal candidate would demonstrate exceptional precision, versatility, ability and is interested in a high growth opportunity and being part of a team.
Responsibilities for Project Coordinator
- Maintains relationships with the network of outside vendors/ suppliers and customers.
- Manages communication with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public.
- Ensuring technicians are aligned with the expectations and timing of projects
- Assign tasks to company resources based on the appropriate project timeline and ensure all tasks are laid out in a timely manner and resources are not overloaded or under booked.
- Create and maintain Project Schedule for various projects as required.
- Ensuring technicians work safely and follow OHSA regulations
- Perform site inspections/ equipment inspections and document areas of concern
- Perform resource allocation, levelling and forecast for Project resources to support the overall resource management
- Taking pictures, measurements, completing inspection reports
- Gathering & sourcing pricing for materials/equipment/labor
- Ensure company policies are and procedures are followed
- Perform hands on help in the field, as required
- Digital filing and keeping job folders updated
- Perform other duties as required or as assigned by Management
- Travel within Southern Ontario
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects, with tight deadlines, under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of MS Project is an asset.
- Able to commute to office daily.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering, or other similar background is required.
- PMP project management Certification is required.
- Previous building automation and/or contracting experience is required.
- Must be fully licensed G/G2 certification with clean driver abstract
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
