Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stucco Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist with various stucco and exterior finishing projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to develop hands-on experience in construction and related trades within a dynamic work environment.
Duties
- Assist with applying stucco and exterior finishes on residential and commercial buildings
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Mix and apply materials such as plaster, cement, or other finishing compounds
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing or structural adjustments when necessary
- Perform caulking around windows, doors, and joints for weatherproofing
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction painting, carpentry, or handyman work is preferred, but willing to train
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety protocols
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Basic understanding of construction principles; willingness to learn new skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is advantageous
