Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled QA Engineer who will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform. This role merges strong manual testing skills with modern, AI-driven QA practices. You will be the quality champion who designs thorough test strategies and leverages AI/ML to improve everything we do, from test generation to defect prediction.
Your main responsibility is ensuring flawless product quality. In Core Manual Testing, you will write, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases, scenarios, and acceptance criteria across Web, Mobile, and API surfaces. You will perform a full spectrum of testing: functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and exploratory testing for edge cases, using your judgment to find issues that scripted approaches miss.
In AI & Next-Gen QA, you will actively innovate by leveraging AI/ML tools for test case optimization, test data creation, and intelligent defect clustering. You will apply AI-based visual testing and anomaly detection to catch issues before they impact users, and utilize Natural Language Processing (NLP) models for requirement analysis and the generation of acceptance criteria.
For Collaboration & Process Excellence, you will work closely with Developers and Product Managers in Agile ceremonies to define clear and effective testing strategies. Strong verbal English communication is critical here, since you will be walking through defects, discussing requirements, and aligning on test approach in real time with engineering, product, and clinical stakeholders. You will manage test environments and synthetic test data, and track, report, and drive the resolution of defects using tools like JIRA.
You must have 2–3 years of professional QA experience with a strong background in manual testing, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Practical hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) is essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and an understanding of how QA fits into modern development workflows are required.
Strong verbal English communication is essential for this role. You will be speaking daily with developers, product managers, and stakeholders in stand-ups, design reviews, and defect triage sessions. You should be comfortable explaining test results, edge cases, and quality risks clearly and confidently in spoken English. Written skill alone is not sufficient; the role requires you to be articulate and easy to follow on calls and in person.
Experience with AI-powered QA platforms, familiarity with performance testing approaches, and knowledge of tools for QA innovation are a plus. We also value an understanding of static code analysis and security tools (SonarQube, Snyk, StackHawk, etc.) and relevant QA certifications.
As our QA Engineer, you'll ensure flawless quality and reliability for a product that is genuinely revolutionizing medication management at the vital intersection of healthcare and cutting-edge QA technology (Manual, AI/ML).
Accelerate your career in a dynamic, high-growth startup environment with a clear path to senior QA leadership roles. You'll gain direct, high-value mentorship from senior product and engineering leaders, working elbow-to-elbow with decision-makers to master the end-to-end product lifecycle and define world-class quality strategies.
This isn't just a job, you'll take full ownership of the platform's quality. Your testing efforts will drive real, measurable, and profound impact on our product and mission. Thrive in a high-energy, collaborative team environment where we champion curiosity, learning, and shared success. We recognize your expertise with a highly competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.
Salary Range: CA$70,000 – CA$85,000, depending on experience and technical depth.
