Ontario Water Werx Inc. are leading experts in the sub surface watermain and sewer repair industry. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Pipe Layer to join our growing sewer and watermain construction crew in Ontario. The successful candidate will work on municipal and private underground infrastructure projects including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain installations.
Duties
- Install sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain pipe
- Read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and construction drawings
- Set pipe line and grade using lasers and leveling equipment
- Prepare trenches, bedding, and backfill materials
- Work safely around excavators and heavy equipment
- Install manholes, catch basins, hydrants, and related infrastructure
- Ensure all work meets Ontario construction and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in sewer and watermain construction
- Experience laying PVC, concrete, and ductile iron pipe
- Ability to read grades and elevations
- Valid Ontario driver’s license (DZ license considered an asset)
- Strong knowledge of trench safety and underground utility practices
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
