Fire Alarm Technician – Job Description
As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of fire alarm systems. You will ensure systems are operating reliably and in compliance with applicable fire codes, standards, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm system deficiencies and malfunctions.
- Verify proper operation of fire alarm devices and system components.
- Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and deficiency reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable fire codes, standards, and company procedures.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding system status, deficiencies, and recommended repairs.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good working order.
- Participate in on-call service

Pay: $29.00-$40.00 per hour

Education:

Experience:
- fire alarm and/or Electrical : 3 years (required)
Language:
Licence/Certification:
- CFIA, RSE Electrician (preferred)
