Full Time Recreation Worker
Must have Therapeutic Recreation experience in a seniors care home.
Langley Care Society is currently recruiting a Recreation Worker on a temporary basis. Langley Lodge is a 139 Long Term Care facility located in the heart of Langley. The Recreation Worker will be an integral part of the interdisciplinary team. Be a part of something special and join our dynamic, fun and caring recreation team!
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Reporting to the Manager of Recreation and Volunteer Services the Recreation Worker plans, implements and evaluates various leisure/recreation programs designed to meet the social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, intellectual and physical needs of residents. All duties are performed in accordance with the Policies and Procedures of the organization
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of Recognized Therapeutic Recreation Program
- Experience supporting older adults living with dementia is an asset.
- Class 4 Driver License
- Food Safe
- CPR/First Aide
- Serving It Right
- Knowledge of Point Click Care & Activity Pro
- Computer skills- knowledge of Microsoft Office
Compensation – Master Facilities Agreement
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday
