Our client is hiring a hands-on Corporate Accounting Manager to join a high‑performing finance team in a growing, acquisitive organization. If you enjoy leading people, owning deadlines, and getting into the details of complex accounting — and you want a seat at the table for M&A, tax planning, and process improvements — this role is for you.
You’ll lead a team of three, own the corporate close, and be the go‑to expert on intercompany accounting across a diverse group of operating companies.
What You’ll Do
- Lead & develop a small team of three responsible for corporate accounts payable and full‑cycle accounting
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close: review journal entries and reconciliations, prepare balance sheet analyses, and handle complex transactions (e.g., tax planning, M &A)
- Champion intercompany accounting: oversee and improve global intercompany processes and reconciliations across multiple entities
- Analyze performance: review financial results and key business drivers across a portfolio of operating companies and provide insights to leadership
- Support reporting: consolidate divisional information for quarter‑end working papers, financial statements, and MD&A
- Administer the Equity Stock Ownership Plan, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting to participants
- Partner with auditors: provide information and support for internal and external audits
- Drive improvement: contribute to projects related to consolidations, accounting systems, and process optimization
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with finance, operations, and senior leadership on ad hoc analyses and initiatives
What You Bring
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and a professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1–2 years of people leadership
- Experience owning the close process (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, reporting)
- Comfortable with ERP and reporting systems; strong Excel and general productivity tools skills
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, controls, or reporting quality
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial/operational information and provide clear, value‑added recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident explaining financial information to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders
- Collaborative, hands‑on leadership style; able to work independently while contributing as part of a finance management team
- High integrity, strong relationship‑building skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Real impact: You’ll own core processes that directly affect reporting quality, cash flow, and decision‑making — not just “do the books.”
- Breadth & complexity: Exposure to M&A, tax planning, multi‑entity consolidations, and equity compensation across a diverse group of businesses.
- Career growth: Join a dynamic, growth‑oriented organization with clear opportunities to grow into broader leadership or more strategic roles.
- Supportive team: Work with a collaborative, experienced finance team that values mentorship, open communication, and continuous improvement.
- Stability + entrepreneurship: Enjoy the stability of an established company with the mindset and pace of an entrepreneurial environment.
If you’re a CPA who wants to combine technical accounting, people leadership, and meaningful business impact, we’d love to hear from you.
