Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and quality standards
- Cook and assemble dishes in a timely manner, maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Handle food safely, following proper sanitation and hygiene protocols
- Assist with food plating and garnishing to ensure attractive presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food service setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction when interacting with front-of-house staff or guests
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: $15.77-$18.03 per hour
